Winner uses .tech domain; others use .Club and other Radix domains.
New top level domain name companies including Radix and .Club got exposure for their top level domain names at the recently concluded Launch Hackathon in San Francisco.
The registries offered domain names to participants to use for their projects. 220 Radix domain names, such as .online, .tech and .space were registered during the hackathon.
Using the domain name Betagig.tech, Betagig won the best startup at the event and received a $250,000 investment. The company will enable people to “beta test” careers.
Two other participants won cash prizes from Radix. Qscode.space, which lets people share information via QR codes, took home a $5,000 prize. PublicAd.space, a directory of outdoor advertising spaces, won $2,500.
I know that .Club has done a lot of hackathons in the past, and I think it’s one of the smartest promotions new TLDs can do.
