Company registers domain names for what appears to be a streaming TV service.
Judging from recent domain name registrations, NBC Universal is getting ready to launch an over-the-top streaming service called Seeso.
[Update: Yes, that’s what it is.]
The company registered dozens of domain names related to the service yesterday. I can’t track down any related trademark applications, and Google searches come back without any clues.
Perhaps we can piece it together with some clues.
First of all, there will be a number of “channels” for the service:
seesocomedy.com
seesocrime.com
seesodrama.com
seesoevents.com
seesogaming.com
seesoreality.com
seesoscifi.com
seesosociety.com
seesocomedy.com
Second, it looks to be a streaming service:
seesostream.com
seesobinge.com
NBC doesn’t want you to spread bad news about the service, so it preemptively registered SeesoBlows.com, SeesoSucks.com, IHateSeeso.com, ScrewSeeso.com and [email protected]. It also registered a bunch of typos of Seeso.com, such as Seeswo.com, Seeszo.com, seeaso.com and seefso.com.
What do you think?

My too. Looks like they acquired the domain name this month.

I like “seeso” — I hope this ushers in many short brandable .com big sales. I’m biased – I own zero short N or 2 letter .com domains.

I recently discovered a couple of unlikely sources for “tip offs” on what some entertainment companies are up to, namely websites where “industry” people post their resumes and projects they’re working on. It is a little “funny” that people put stuff on their resumes and on linkedin when there hasn’t been any public announcement by the companies they worked for.
Google shows about 205 search results for seeso at linkedin.com. Seeso (one word) seems to be a middle eastern surname. Google translates SESSO in Italian to sex in English.
seeso2d.com is registered

How about SeeSo.sucks?
