A domain name business adopts a .domains domain name.
New top level domain name registries have been looking for examples of companies adopting their domain names.
They don’t have to look too far: a domain name software company is among those that has adopted a new TLD.
Softnik, maker of the Watch My Domains software for domain management, has moved its software sales site from DomainPunch.com to WatchMy.domains.
The company will continue to use DomainPunch.com, but it will host new online tools created by the company, including a sortable list of top sites using new TLDs.
I’m not a fan of moving an entire site to a new TLD (or even a different .com domain, for that matter), but I like how Softnik did this. The company can use a clever domain name for its software while still using the “value” it has built up with its DomainPunch.com domain.

I will be taking a similar approach with booking.tools later this year.

Also, brainstorm.domains. From the same guys.

Why on EARTH not cover all your bases by getting BrainstormDomains.com as well and forwarding it to the same site?
I can understand reluctance when the domain costs hundreds or thousands of dollars, but it cost me $6.71 with a coupon just now.
Not squatting on this one. And not trying to make an example of somebody else in the domain space. We can swap something. Just saying this publicly before I get accused of kidnapping half their brand.
Best practices are often really cheap and easy. It baffles me that people cut corners like this.

It think the trend will be using .com as corporate site and .gTLDs for specific purposes. An example is UFC.com as corporate brand and UFC.tv for video shows.
