A handful of new TLDs are launching during this holiday week.
I try to write a post each week about upcoming new TLD launches, but didn’t get around to it last week. So this week I’m going to rewind and also look at the week ahead.
Last week on Monday GMO launched .Nagoya. Nagoya is the largest city in the Chūbu region of Japan. As of today, the domain has 1,876 domains in the zone file.
Last week on Tuesday .ink launched. I was at the launch party in London. The domain has 1,144 registrations in the zone file, which was not updated overnight.
Five Donuts domains exited the Early Access Phase last Wednesday. All are related to industry/manufacturing. Here are the latest zone file numbers on these domains:
- .Tools 2,984
- .Industries 680
- .Parts 1,663
- .Supplies 1,429
- .Supply 1,060
This week, a holiday week in the U.S. with Independence Day on Friday, will be somewhat slow. Three Donuts domains will come off EAP: .report, .vision and .fish. .Services will be the only domain to enter EAP.
