Here are three sessions I plan to attend at next week’s conference.
The TRAFFIC conference kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale Sunday evening, with programming beginning Monday morning.
You’ll rarely see me attend the actual conference sessions at these shows, but there are a few that I plan to pop in on this time around. They all take place Monday.
gTLD Mania – Monday at 11:30 – What effect will new TLDs have the domain name market? Will they be successful? How do you measure success? This could be an interesting discussion as Rick Schwartz chats with Frank Schilling, representatives of .club and .kiwi, and Monte Cahn. Schwartz is bearish on new TLDs. The others are bullish.
Domainer Success Stories – Monday at 12:45 – This is interesting because of the presence of Gregg Ostrick. Nothing against the other guys on the panel, but I think few have heard Ostrick’s story.
Auction – Monday at 4:30 – I think the auctions are interesting (at least for the first 30 minutes) regardless of whether domains are selling well or hardly selling.
