Sedo’s end user sales include Torrents.com at 84,700 EUR.
This week I’m trying something a little different with my end user sales lists: I’m breaking Sedo and Afternic into two separate posts.
Keep in mind that these end user reports have only a subset of the end user sales for the week, even a subset of what each marketplace sold that is public. In order to be included it has to be an obvious end user sale. Many sales are still in escrow or protected by whois privacy. In Sedo’s case it is even more difficult due to challenges getting full whois on ccTLDs.
So, here’s a subset of Sedo’s end user sales for last week.
MP2P Technologies bought Torrents.com for 84,700 EUR.
Web hosting company pair Networks, Inc. made another domain purchase with GetPaired.com for $1,000.
MailChimp was back again to purchase Mailchimp.mx for $1,800. Other recent purchase by the company include MailMonkey.com for $11,000 and MonkeyMail.com for $10,500.
Software testing company Traq Software Ltd bought Test-Management.com for $2,500.
Pacific Pillows bought another domain: Pillows.co for $3,000.
Flip Flop Shops bought the singular version of its domain, FlipFlopShop.com, for $4,500.
The owner of CarPool.com bought CarePool.com for 5,000 EUR. CarPool.com hasn’t launched yet, but a teaser at the domain suggests it’s not a site for carpooling. It looks like Rob Monster over at Epik recently sold the domain CarPool.com to the company.
Someone in the Kopelman family bought EIR.org for $9,888.
Liberty Alliance, a group of web sites that “promote traditional values”, bought SocialismSucks.com for $1,000.
If you own a domain hack, eventually you’ll want the unhacked version. Trainer.ly paid $1,000 for Trainerly.com.
HIPAA Exams Inc bought HIPAAExams.com for $1,200.
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, South Carolina paid $1,800 for PersonalizedCancerCare.com.
I’m going to conclude with one that may or may not be an end user sale, but the seller is a name familiar to all of you: Ron Jackson of DNJournal sold LLP.biz for $977.
