Security company upgrades its domain name.
An Atlanta company has purchased the domain name Endgame.com for $80,000, topping Sedo’s weekly sales list.
The company owns the domain names Endgames.us and EndgameSystems.com. This is a nice upgrade.
Here’s how the company describes itself:
Endgame delivers the only integrated Cyber Operations Platform that meets the needs of the military and your SOC. Realtime, scalable solutions that turn billions of data points into tactical actions in seconds, mine offline data for risk mitigation and enforcement, and reduce analyst missions from weeks to minutes.
Whether you’re responsible for network operations or national security, you need cyber solutions that take control of overwhelming amounts of disparate sensor data, proactively pinpoint your highest value opportunities, visualize risk for anyone in the organization, and are simple enough to execute on a tablet.
The lasted public whois record for the domain shows Vertical Axis. Given the sales price, I bet Kevin Ham was the seller on this domain.
A great purchase and the “right” price.
Check back tomorrow for Domain Name Wire’s complete end user sales report.

Thanks for reporting the background of the sale.
I have just checked USPTO and saw there are 3 live trademarks on the term ‘Endgame’ including at least one that seems like it is owned by the buyers of this domain name. I am curious and a bit confused as in to what exactly is needed to file UDRP claim for a domain because this seller squeezed out $80k from the trademark holders!
Andrew Allemann says
@ Faz – just b/c you have a trademark in a domain doesn’t mean you have rights to it through a UDRP. In this case it’s a generic or descriptive domain.
Faz says
Thanks Andrew, do you mind if I send you an email about a domain of mine I am concerned about? Just needed a second opinion on the trademark issue and I would appreciate your view very much.
Andrew Allemann says
Faz, I’m not a lawyer. I probably shouldn’t give such advice. The only advice I’d probably give is if you’re clearly in trouble. With that caveat, shoot over an email.

Greatly appreciate your emails Andrew, it is people like you who make domaining such a vibrant and friendly community to be part of!
Thanks
