Lakewood Weightloss and Wellness bought NoDiabetes.com for $1,888.
Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. bought Cloud-Computer.org for $1,400.
Wine-a-Rita, which sells kits for wine margaritas, bought SimpleCocktails.com for $1,300.
Here’s an interesting one. Container Essentials LLC, which sells containers for business and industrial use, bought Trackability.com for $1,795.
Grand Rapids Public Schools, a school district in Michigan, bought GRPS.org for $1,099 at Sedo.
The Marriage Group LLC, provider of marriage prep classes, picked up MarriageMinistries.com for $2,388.

Australia’s TegaTech internationalized itself with the purchase of TegaTech.com for 1,700 EUR at Sedo. Its web site is Tegatech.com.au.
The creators of Team Viewer software for remote computer access and support bought ScheduleMeeting.com for $2,088.
Sports and entertainment technology company Sporting Innovations dropped a hyphen in its domain, going from sporting-innovations.com to sportinginnovations.com for $1,700.
Dropping two hyphens is water-rescue-services.com, which recycles wastewater. It bought waterrescueservices.com for $1,000.
Health Kick Media bought HealthKick.com for $21,200. That’s a great domain.
Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach bought JupiterHealth.com for $1,795.
The Association for Corporate Growth bought GrowTheconomy.com for $1,295. I wonder if this was an acciental purchase, as it omits the second ‘e’ for economy. At first I thought the might be buying a typo of GrowTheEconomy.com, but they don’t own that domain.
Private Eye Security bought EavesDroppingDetection.com for $750 at Sedo.

I think “The Association for Corporate Growth” bought GrowthEconomy.com and it’s not a typo… As their company name has the word Growth in it…

Ah yes, you’re right. I missed that one.

Wow 90% are sub $2000, prices keep going lower.

“Wow 90% are sub $2000, prices keep going lower.”
Ron, he reported 16 domains of thousands sold. The reason it was 16 was because that is what he was able to match up a company with the domain purchase.
Secondly, NameMedia prices a lot of domains sub $2,000 because that is a hot price point for small businesses to pay for domains.
Just coming out and saying “prices keep going lower” is not an accurate statement. If you look at several of these types of articles by Andrew, the prices are pretty average. Median price at Sedo for Q1 of 2011 was 2,595 USD for .com domains.
Ron says
@JAMIE
DomainMarket emails me everyday with random domains sub 1000, I think they average around $7xx something on average sale.
HugeDomains sales range seem to be $700-$1800
Not to count the other countless people who are hitting email accounts everyday, most marketing domains they do not own, trying to grab any cash value they can.
I am sure you review the weekly sales with a fine tooth comb, with sedo, and afternic, once you are in the $750-$2500 range, that is where the bulk of the sales are, so yes you have a few high priced sales, but majority low priced sales. Single domain sales can skew the numbers. Ask big sellers their average sales prices are declining…
You can believe what you want, many sellers are getting end user push back on sales above $3K now… talk to the domainers out there, don’t just stalk the spreadsheets.
Jamie Zoch says
@Ron,
I do not disagree that there are plenty of domains that sell in the range you are talking about, but I was just pointing out that Andrew only reported 16 domains.
With the amount of domain sales that go unreported (private or simply not shared) I think we simply “see” a lot more lower range reported and it may come across that prices are lowering.
