Someone should tell Kanye that Donda is an Italian shoe company

Kanye West launching Donda, but that domain is taken.
The web and Twitter have been on fire the past 48 hours about Kanye West’s plans for global business domination. He announced plans in stream-of-conscious tweets for his new company, noting:
I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts… app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist … doctors, scientist, teachers…DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…

I have started a new company and I’m so excited about the name…. it’s got the best name ever of all companies of all time!!!….

DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…
Donda is the first name of Kanye West’s mom, so it’s a cool name.
Except that if you go to Donda.com you’ll see that some sort of Italian shoe company or retailer already uses it. Apparently it’s been around since 1887.
So I hope his design firm doesn’t have plans to create cool shoes. Or it is willing to buy out a 123-year-old shoe company.
Perhaps Kanye can just apply for the .donda top level domain. After all, he’s going to have a lot of divisions he can stuff under that TLD.

That’s a major “oops” for Kanye and his business team. Maybe they tried to get the domain, or have other plans in mind.
Was reading how Kanye purchased WatchtheThrone.com for his album promotion – thought he understood the importance of owning the domain. Oh well, we’ll have to see how it plays out.

If I remember correctly, Kanye West had to buy WatchTheThrone.com from someone because he announced the name before getting around to registering it. I think I got that right.
He shoots from the lip before attending to details.
Details are not his strong suit.

Maybe Kanye will offer the shoe company good money for that domain. Bet that Donda phrase is good money now.
