An online storage company makes a big splash in the domain market.
This week’s top (reported) end user domain name purchase comes courtesy of cloud storage company LiveDrive. It bought LiveCloud.com for $92,000 via Sedo from Seattle based Groupee, Inc.
Here’s a look at ten other end user domain purchases over the past week. All sales occurred at Afternic unless otherwise noted.
Barrett Distribution bought a perfect domain in FulfillmentCenters.com for $1,500.
Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital bought its acronym CPSH.org for $1,813.55.
Zippo bought TECX.com for $1,200 at Sedo. 3 points for whomever can figure out why.
About.com bought CalorieCamp.com for $1,688, most likely for its calorie count site.
A coffee company that has successfully defended against a UDRP claim bought MonthlyCoffeeClub.com for $1,400.
Caring Bridge, a support network site for people undergoing health problems, bought SupportPlanner.com for $1,200.
Here’s a nice expansion from the owner of Termite.com — Arborists.org for $1,000.
Community Health Systems, which owns CHS.net, bought VCHS.net for $1,822.
The promotional products company that owns BrandBlvd.ca went international with BrandBlvd.com for $1,800
World Gold Council, which also owns Gold.org, bought GiveGold.com for $1,295.

I always find these kind of sales with the endusers being reported interesting
thanks for article
all fair prices too, bordering on cheap
apart from livecloud
nice domain but huge sale for that

Yes, very affordable pricing on the end users side of things, most likely most sales are from large brokerage portfolios internal holdings. Ask a bit more guys, renewal fees are going up.

yes, interesting topic. keep it up.
btw, glad to see LLLL.net and LLLL.ORG sales are picking up…

Did LiveCloud dot com have traffic prior to the sale. Seems they paid $92,000 just because of their online presence rather than the value.
That $92,000 price tag is far too much. We cal always expect another domain holder to make the end-user pay for their success.
Best end-user deal is CPSH dot org to shorten and or to point. The medical surgical hospital made a smart decision.
