Domain registrar offers more insight into its domain name auctions.
We know GoDaddy is a powerhouse for new domain registrations, but until now we haven’t had great visibility into how many domain names it auctions off each month.
That data and a lot more is now available on Go Daddy Auctions Domain Market Report.
Here’s a solid stat: The company sold 109,000 domains by auction last quarter.
The report includes a list of top sales by month, including June’s sale of UpCloud.com for a whopping $100,000.
You’ll also find which keywords are hot in auction sales in a tag cloud similar to VeriSign’s domain tag cloud.
The most common keyword in Go Daddy auction sales? “Online”, which also nicely correlates to the most common keywords in new domain registrations.
Go Daddy has also added more auction support to its mobile web site.

I’m particularly pleased with the tag cloud, just click on the keyword to run a search for it. If anyone has further suggestions just drop them in the comments here, we’ll see them.

Nice. Even poor old me made a sale thru godaddy auction so u know it is wide spread. This domain thing is very fun. Before I lose money in the stock market. Now I just waste a lot of time with domain. But it is cheap and fun. Who knows one day I may hit the jackpot.

Is that the regular GoDaddy auctions or GoDaddy Premium, or both?
Locking C-Clamp Pliers says
Also, is that including the drops?

I also would like to know if this report includes GoDaddy Premium Listings?
