Domain owners can pick template for domains on self-serve system.
Google Adsense for Domains’ self-service system now allows users to select a template for their domain names.
The service has been auto testing alternative templates with various pictures for many months, but users didn’t have control over which templates were selected.
There are generic templates (such as “Daisy”) and category templates such as banking, legal, education, and business.
A text-only lander is still available, and Google recommends users let the system select which version works best for their domain names.
Domain owners can also place a “for sale” notice on their domain names.
Although the customization features are certainly welcome, the number of templates and graphics still pales in comparison to what most Google Adsense for Domains partners (e.g. Sedo) offer to clients.

If anyone ever made any money using Adsense for domains, please post here.
CTR and RPM was terrible.

I noticed some of the testing earlier. It will be interesting to see whether this makes a significant difference in CTR.

No…poor payouts for me Rob.
Started off strong for a week or so and has been bad ever since.
Google Parking = Poor Parking

I have done much better with Adsense for Domains, if I park a domain its now my only choice. It has outperformed Sedo and Parked.com by a long ways for me. Now am I getting huge clicks ? No, but the same name on Parked or Sedo has done much better with Adsense for Domains. It might change but its got to be better to eliminate one cog in the wheel. Splitting just you and Google.
Andrew I did not start using them til March but could control template since then.

@ RH – yeah, I don’t check in much on the program. A reader tipped me off to this change.

This is the first I’ve heard of Google Adsense for Domains’ but I’m not real happy about Google right now cause they threatened to end my adsense account unless I removed their ads from a page on my website, that linked to some of the same companies that pay for ads on adsense, because they weren’t family friendly.
They wouldn’t share which links on my site were a problem so I removed all their ads and now I’m adsenseless.

I went away from AdSense because too many of my domains were stuck in a pending status and wasted too much time trying to right that ship (to no avail). Also, wanted to post For Sale information on it, but they didn’t offer it at the time. Too much work for no revenue, relying on people to search WhoIs for a sale, and a guessing game as to which domains Google would approve.
For the sake of curiosity, for anyone that can answer: a) where in the settings does it allow you to choose the template? and b) Where can you mark it For Sale, and can you customize it? i.e. For Sale, if interested contact abc@123.com? Many Thanks!
