Last minute auction has a bunch of good domains with no reserve.
[Update: Rick Latona has just blogged, saying he’s throwing in the towel on Latonas.com auction platform.] Sedo has just started a seven day auction of domain names owned by Rick Latona. All domains are listed at no reserve.
Some of the great domains in this auction include:
ISU.com
KansasCity.net
DayTraders.net
Destin.net
iNotebook.com
HeavyweightBoxer.com
iStockBrokers.com
ISU.com is already up to $650 and should sell for five figures. Some other domains already receiving bids are FastWireless.com, FunnyImages.com, Nuremberg.net, MasticBeach.com, DeepSeaFishing.co.uk, and rra.co.uk.
It’s not clear why these domains are being sold at a “firesale”, if you will. I hadn’t heard anything about this auction until it went live today.
In 2008 Latona asked $20,000 for KansasCity.net in his email newsletter.

My guess…Rick is smart and sees .net as DEAD. Look at the .net’s coming available in the next few days on namejet.
Lots of people will be dumping .net as it just another fish in the sea with many new TLD’s coming online

If .net is dead the. Why do I keep seeing it as the best seller in all the live auctions? Maybe it’s dead for end user but a good time to sell if you are lookin for a wholesale buyer.
None of these domains look like 5 figure domains to me except maybe the LLL.com. Though predicting domain auction outcomes on any particular domain is nothing more than a guessing game that doesn’t always make sense.

Rick is just offering the same names he has been trying to unload for the last 2 years, his newsletters usually had 3rd party domains for cheap, and his own domains priced in for much much more. Who really cares about Rick Latona, now back to sedo, well sedo has 1,000,000 other decent names for sale there as well, get to the back of the line Latona, rah rah days are over for you.

Who the heck is buying .nets and ‘notebooks’? What’s next -vhstape.com??
Thanks for dumping your crap Rick, but I’ll pass.

.NET is far from dead.
1.) There are 13.5M .NET regs
2.) .NET is the second most popular gTLD in the world.
3.) There are 300,000+ new .NET registered every month with a net gain of 75,00+ per month
116 of the top 2000 Alexa traffic sites are .NET
Mike says
.Net is far from dead.
Should be interesting to see what the final auction price is on these.

I think I’m staring to see a bunch of other Latona domains showing up on NameJet now too
