Second domainer cruise stops off in Grand Cayman for a visit with Frank Schilling.
“Chef” Patrick Ruddell just announced details for the second ever DNCruise.
The domain conference on a boat will set sail September 5 from Tampa Bay for five days. First stop is Grand Cayman, where attendees will hang out for a day with domain investor Frank Schilling. The group will have a 2-3 hour snorkeling adventure and then enjoy lunch with Schilling.
Interior cabins start at $499 and ocean view rooms start at $579 assuming double occupancy.
Although the news about the 2011 event just went up today at DNCruise, a number of people have already signed on to attend including David Sams, Gregg McNair, Donny Simonton, Ron Jackson, Morgan Linton, Alan Dunn, and Attorney Karen Bernstein.
David Sams helped launch Oprah and was a big hit on last year’s cruise.
You can view pictures, testimonials, and video highlights from last year’s show year here.
Estufas says
So…..mostly folks who are not domainers but domain industry players or self-described domain experts (with websites they push) are the first to sign up.
Shows you where the money is. It’s not with the domainers anymore.
Not trying to ruffle anyone’s feathers, just saying this industry has crumbled and now only these guys are left to go.
Andrew Allemann says
Estufas, there were a couple domainers on the list but I left them out because I wasn’t sure if people knew who they were (a couple I don’t know, either).
Chef Patrick says
@Estufas – Every one of the mentioned guests are domainers.
Gregg McNair, Donny Simonton, Ron Jackson, Morgan Linton and Alan Dunn each own thousands of domain names.
David Sams is great for our audience because he helped launch Oprah, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. No, those shows have nothing to do with the domaining business, but they are business. David is a marketing genius that understands the online world. If memory serves me correct he also helped launch a tld or two. David is currently working on a development project that is not yet public, but based first off of a domain name and a relationship established on the very first DNCruise.
And attorney Karen Bernstein works with domain owners every day through legal issues and brokerage.
I can assure you these guests are attending to network, learn, teach, share and have a good time. None of these guests are attending to push an agenda or sell you on something. They were all a part of the first DNCruise and seen a great enough value that warrants coming back for more.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out via the website, DNCruise.com. Hopefully you can even join us!
