Survey asks questions about domain name parking.
We’ve seen more upheaval in the domain name parking industry in 2010. Perhaps the biggest change was the move of Yahoo pay-per-click to Microsoft’s Bing. As many parking companies have noted, Microsoft handles pay-per-click differently than Yahoo, which has caused some fluctuations and required changes by some parking companies.
Will that mean there’s a new king of the hill when it comes to domain parking? Good question, and it’s not one I can answer myself. But it is one you can help answer by participating in the 6th Annual Domain Name Wire Survey.
In addition to selecting your favorite parking company, you’ll be asked questions about:
-Your revenue per thousand
-What’s happened to your revenue in 2010 and what you think will happen in 2011
-What the best alternative to traditional parking companies is

I did the other survey few days ago.
But Parking:
No need to waste time on a survey imo. All companies I tried so far suck.
DS used to be very good but they now suck too.
Thanks.

Hello Andrew,
ALL Web Titans view domainers as their biggest threat. And you know what? They are right. We have the brightest and most creative people that will eventually drive a massive business development wave that is dead ahead. So go right ahead and cut our traffic revenues it will just create what you are trying to prevent that much faster. Go get em Microsoft.

They all suck now, but it seems Parked.com is still the best, even after being cut off at the knees with a circular saw, shot in the face with a shotgun, and stabbed in the stomach by a pitchfork by the greedy, slimy, loser company named Bing.
Sedo does okay on certain domains ; DomainAdvertising.com does okay on some domains also. But on a whole though Parked is still beating the competition, and that is sad b/c Parked is down around 50% since the migration.
Whatever company though we speak of, it does not matter b/c parking is going extinct one day at a time by design, orchestrated by Bing and Google.
I would like to see all the parking companies bad together in a new era and form a new allegiance/network of domainers and parking companies, use their combined forces to get advertisers, and share them amongst each other for listing purposes, and tell Google and Bing they now have new competitors…… and on the way out the door tell them to go fu*k themselves for treating and acting like unwanted sh*t from a Porta Potty.
Sorry to be so graphic, but it’s very accurate, right?
Though our combined efforts, and once the Google/Yahoo/Bing competitors have been vested or put in check, then the meek domainers shall inherit the Internet. 🙂
The same way G/Y/B have treated domainers is now starting to happen to developers. It’s just a matter of time before they revolt also, so why don’t we get started?
C’mon parking companies, are you that scared and weak to do something about G/Y/B yanking your jeans down and forcing your face into the pillow? Or are you just happy with whatever you can get on the way down to the ominous abyss?
Where is the spine of parking companies? I just don’t see it. Not a damn thing has changed in two years with parking co’s. Total complacency.
Truth is, parking is fuc*ed everywhere. Anyone wasting too much time on that overlooking other opportunities. Sales is where it is at now and parking companies are not needed for this. If parking companies don’t change the parking scene before them, than they will take a back seat to where the money really is….making domain sales.
Pure play domain sales sites is making more and more sense as parking revenues are evaporating into the hands of Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Why should we give them that money when we could use the traffic for domain sales?
Time to move on. I am. One domain at a time. It’s hard to make the break, but I am doing it. So are other domainers. Wake up parking industry, or die.

PPC is going the same route as the
old banner farms.
I’m sure 24 months from now, only a few
ppc companies will still exist as we
know them.
The more important question, what is
going to replace ppc?

I started using Bodis more and more last year and it some cases they outperform the big players. Hope reporting in Bodis will improve in the new version.

hmmm…let me see.
Which hurts less?
A poke in the eye with a sharp stick,
Getting hit in the forehead with a ball peen hammer,
Or, getting repeatedly dry humped by Two Eight Hundred Pound Gorillas?

I found this post through a Google search. A few are clearly very descriptive posters. I had just been using Sedoparking but results haven’t been that great. I’ll check out the other two mentioned here Bodis and Parked. Thanks
