Domainer Shooting Contest Results: Keep an Eye on These Two!
Thursday, October 7th, 2010
Two domainer industry execs you don’t want to challenge to a duel.
Attention domainers: watch out for these two sharp-shooting domainers.
DOMAINfest held two shooting contests this today. eNom’s Chris Sheridan took home the accuracy prize in the morning session. Who won the afternoon session? Read on to see…
Shortly after a traditional Czech lunch, about 50 domainers borded a bus for the Czech Republic countryside. We arrived at the shooting range at about 2:30 pm local time. The range was being used by a few marksmen, including a couple dozen police.
Each domainer got to shoot four differenct guns. Here’s me trying out the shotgun:

And here’s Thought Convergence’s Ammar Kubba with the sniper gun. (He has a very accurate shot, by the way.)

After the shotgun and sniper competitions we shot 15 rounds with an AK47 and M16.
So who was the most accurate shooter in the afternoon session? None other than Oversee.net’s Aaron Kvitek:

It’s only fitting that he won the competition, as the contest wasn’t the only thing on target this week. Kvitek and his team also hit a bullseye on DOMAINfest Prague.

How was shooting the M16? I shot all the other guns you mentioned, except an M16.
Amar was probably a good shot after 2 years of chasing Jay Westerdal.
Sheridan can shoot? What was the distance? 25 yds?
I am not sure what qualifications you need to have to be called a domainer other than ‘buying domain names at a cheap price.’
@ mansour
Very True,
But i bet your remark bruised some big fat, over sized and swell headed ego’s.
Domainer shooting contest ?
That sounds like a contest that’s held at the NAF or ICANN IP constituency conferences.
I would be all over that. I shot the M16 and 50 cal in basic training and earned a gold medal (“Schutzenschnurr”) from the German Army for machine gun shooting.
