Sedo Retools Domain Searching

Domain marketplace release new search system.

Sedo SearchSedo has released new searching tools that make it much easier to sift through the site’s 7 17 million domain names for sale.

The new search allows you to add and change search criteria and get updated results on the fly. Limit the number of words in domains, price range, and even parking traffic (if the domain is parked at Sedo). You can also preview a listing by clicking on the domain rather than loading an entirely new page. DomainsBot technology is integrated to show synonyms and domains similar to the keywords you provide.

As you search you’re able to add domains to a watchlist for later review. You can also create RSS feeds for your saved searches.

The need for improved search features had developed as the number of domains at Sedo has grown. These new search features will hopefully boost sales as quality domains will be easier to find.

Given browser constraints and the speed of real time updates, you might have a better experience viewing the search tool in Google Chrome instead of Firefox or Internet Explorer.

well, ask 99% of domainers and they think it sucks
trying to upsell .ie registrations as first choice
    LOL
and for ‘available names’ taking you straight through to 1 and 1
the most hated registrar for domainers

i think its a disaster, along with the homepage
i think endusers will have a hard time finding anything

also, slightly hilarious is sedo’s ill thought out process of listing available .ie domains as top results
well, you have to be a irish company and jump through hoops to get these domains

when you cl;cik ‘register’ on an available domain
it takes you to 1 and 1 and it says ‘this is not a valid ‘tld’

    LOL

    sedo are hopeless

I would prefer to use eXdomain or other tool than this on-line stuff

Looks like those errors (e.g. ie domains) have been fixed.

Also, I updated the story to show 17 million domains. I originally showed 7 million, which is the number of parked domains.

New search tool is an absolute joke. I have many domains which are not .com/net but are worth at least £1-2000. They are now lost in the search system somewhere? Also can’t find any key word names other than .com/net. This is crazy!! Definately changing from Sedo – their service is crap!!!
