More job opportunities at domain name companies.
Yesterday I wrote the first post about domain name companies that are hiring. With so many domain companies in growth mode, here’s a look at other opportunities.
Go Daddy – With 2,500 employees, Go Daddy is by far the biggest domain name company, and its hiring plans match its status. Go Daddy Vice President of Human Resources Lane Jarvis says the company has 100 positions it’s currently trying to fill.
The positions range from technical (.NET developers, Linux, PHP, etc.) to marketing, accounting, and customer support. The jobs are located in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Tempe, Denver and Hiawatha, IA
As a big company (at least by domain industry standards), Go Daddy offers a full slate of benefits including free health insurance, maternity/paternity leave, 3 weeks vacation in the first year (plus 2 personal days and holidays), tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance.
You can find out about working at Go Daddy and see current openings at www.GoDaddy.jobs.
Oversee.net – Oversee.net, parent company of DomainSponsor, SnapNames, and Moniker, is also looking to hire. The company has about 15 open positions listed on its web site. Most are based in L.A. but others are in Florida (where Moniker is based) and Portland, OR (home of SnapNames).
Tucows – For our Canadian readers, take a look at Tucows. The company has a handful of technical positions available mostly in Toronto. Working for Tucows has a number of benefits, and employees start with three weeks vacation and ten personal days.
Sedo – if you’re interested in working with one of the biggest domain brokerage and parking companies, consider a role as Sales Consultant for Sedo North America. Applicants should have 3-5 years of outside sales, brokerage, consultancy or advertising sales experience. Here’s the job rec:
“The Sales Consultant is responsible for driving new business across all critical product areas while establishing high-level relationships with key decision makers and ensuring both growth and long term client satisfaction. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to drive new business, develop and leverage a strong client network, and deliver repeatable and consistent business offerings with a focus on quality, creativity, and integrity.”
