SnapNames Finally Hits the Mark in Showcase Auction

Latest showcase auction off to roaring start.

I haven’t been impressed with the results in SnapNames’ monthly “showcase” auctions thus far. The sell-through rates have been dismal and the inventory lacking. That is, until this month.

With still five days to go, this month’s showcase auction already has 80+ domain names that have met their reserves. Granted, the deck is stacked with about 700 domain names, but this is still a great start. There are two reasons for the high number:

1. The auction is of 1-4 character domains, a highly liquid market

2. Many of the domains have reasonable reserves

Here are some of the top domains that have already met their reserves:

Kat.com $20,500
Coa.com $15,000
Bgm.com $9,750
Amz.com $5,890
Czr.com $4,100
Gcz.com $3,650

There are also a lot of three letter .nets that have met their reserves and are in the $400-$600 range. The top bid overall is for Dss.com at $100,000, but the domain hasn’t met its reserve.

The auction ends January 19.

    Andrew – Hey How Hyoo? I like hyoo.com, listed for a reserve under $2500.00. Vow.com made the list, as did temp.com.
