Republicans Ready to Slam Congressional Dems with New Web Sites

NRCC registers dozens of domain names including Democratic foes.

That National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) appears to be gearing up to slam House democrats with a slew of new domain name registrations.

The domain names include Democrat congressmen followed by “facts.com”. On Friday, NRCC registered about 30 domain names, such as ZackSpaceFacts.com (Ohio), HeinrichFacts.com (Martin Heinrich, New Mexico), and BillFosterFacts.com (Illionois). The domain names currently do not have active web sites.

The domain names point to the servers of Smartech, a company that does a big business hosting Republican web sites. It was the official hosting provider of the 2008 National Republican Convention, and has hosted such gems as HillarySpendometer.com, HopelessHillary.com, and BarackNotReady.com. It also appears Smartech’s customers took proactive measures to capture potential Democrat campaign domains for previous elections, such as ClintonKerrey.com and BarackObamaJoeBiden08.com.
