One of the most important (and ignored) tasks of a domain registrar is to ensure that domains are not expired UNLESS the user confirms so. At European Domain Centre we send out 3 renewal reminders. If the domain is still not renewed we follow up with a personal email (eventually call if email does not work) until the client confirms that they do not wish to renew. The registries definetely have to improve this part of the service, as losing a domain can have drastic consequences

So Jorge, that means you actually made it through the gauntlet all the way to the checkout page?

Like Everest, it's a destination few men have even dared to conquer, of which a tiny portion have possessed the stamina to succeed in their quest. Hat's off to you kind sir.

I also blame GoDaddy for all the times I've accidently ordered the wrong thing (or too much) because of their upsells.

How can that possibly be my fault???!!!
