GeoDomain Expo auction launches with interactive map.

DomainConsultant and Aftermarket.com have teamed up to hold a live domain name auction at next week’s GeoDomain Expo in San Diego. The auction, which is now live, has about 50 domain names. Most of the domain names are location names, such as SierraMadre.com, and others are long tail geo domains such as MichiganCarInsurance.com.
A number of good domain names have no reserve. Some of my favorites are:
Minneapolis.net
NewYorkLoft.com
Tacoma.info
TampaBay.info
Living in Texas, I’m also partial to Longhorn.com.
DomainConsultant created an interactive map to see all of the domains and where they are in the world.
Online bidding is now open and a handful of bids have already been placed. The live auction will take place in San Diego on Saturday, April 25 at 4 PM PDT.
It’s not too late (nor too expensive) to attend GeoDomain Expo if you haven’t made plans yet.

a few nice names, but there are a lot of reserves in there that are way too high.

Gordon.
First let me thank you for bringing some great geo domains to light and promoting them.
As they say, any press is good press.
Do you know how much either of those domains makes on ppc Gordo ? Guess who does… why of course the seller and auction house
StateOfMaine.com made $1,500 last year and $2000 the year before that.
TopekaKansas.com made made $245 last year (don’t have 2007)
This is just ppc earnings. How much do you think the Geo guys who develop domains can increase that?
Both names are priced in a range that most find typical. . . would you sell your Geo domains for better prices? Please email them to Aftermarket.com if you have them for sale.
Lastly, I really don’t get why people continue to criticize domains in this manner. Most of the time you have no facts to base your criticisms. Almost every auction sells a domain that someone here or on the forums says sucks or is priced wrong. So I’d think by now this negative stuff would have stopped.
We’re all in this together domainers. How about being positive, saying something GOOD and point out the good? I know it’s hard to be positive and I scratch my head from time to time too, but let’s give each other some room to work. If you think there’s “a few nice names” why not reflect on that rather than negativity. Move us forward not backward.
