" In my opinion, it is simply not worth that much because, outside of cloud computing, there is no other intuitive way to develop or monetize it."

Considering that its being auctioned at a CLOUD COMPUTING EXPO, I don't see that being an issue.

To those that don't know much about technology, cloud computing is huge. Dell already owns CloudComputing.com, and unsuccesfully tried to TM the term. This is a great domain and it will be interesting to see how much it goes for.

"I am very curious to see what happens with this name. In my opinion, it is simply not worth that much because, outside of cloud computing, there is no other intuitive way to develop or monetize it. Then again, it may score highly from someone in that market."

Agree, have my doubts on it personally. I don't really see an obvious development path that would justify 7 figures. Would have guessed around $100k.

David - the cloud computing market is massive, though. Think of it as the web hosting market, except right now mostly an enterprise class solution (but changing thanks to Amazon et al).
