Name.com Launches Domain Name Sales Newsletter

Registrar will send list of domains for sale 5 days a week.

Domain name registrar Name.com is joining a growing list of organizations offering “domains for sale” newsletters. The first newsletter was sent today.

The newsletter is sent Monday through Friday and includes domain names owned by Name.com’s brokerage and managed clients. Prices will range anywhere from $20 to tens of thousands of dollars. Sign up information is on Name.com’s web site.

Domain sales newsletters have become a popular way to sell domain names. The popularity of these newsletters got a big boost thanks to heavy marketing of Rick Latona’s Daily Domains newsletter. There’s potential for all of the newsletters to crowd each other out. I’ve recently unsubscribed from some of these newsletters because I don’t want to sift through several of them a day. The newsletters I continue to subscribe to are the ones that offer a limited number of good values each day.

Unlike some newsletters that just list domains and prices, the Name.com newsletter includes detailed descriptions about why each domain name is worth the money.

According to RegistrarStats, Name.com is a top 30 domain registrar with nearly 600,000 domain names registered.
