DOMAINfest silent auction ends Thursday; Sedo auctions heating up.
The silent auction portion of the 2009 DOMAINfest Global auction ends Thursday at 3:15 PM EST. The auction includes thousands of low cost domain names, including 3,000 domain names with starting bids of $1,000 or less (and many at $300). Bidding is done through the SnapNames platform. To find the DOMAINfest auction domains, go to the SnapNames home page and click on “advanced search”. Then select “DOMAINfest” from the drop down box.
At the time of writing, about 85 domains have bids. I have two domain names in the auction; MusicPhones.com and Newlyweds.net.
Sedo is seeing a lot of bidding action, too. An auction for 22.com is up to $72,000 with about 5 days to go. PZ.com is at $41,000. PZ.com is one of the two character domains that DNForum owner Adam Dicker has put on the block lately. BOQ.com is at a surprising $25,000. Perhaps Bank of Queensland, Australia is the buyer. The company uses BOQ.com.au as its domain name. Skincare.net also looks very solid at $12,500 and Thailand.org is $11,100. Not to be outdone, Tai.com is 10,000 EUR. LOI.com, which has many acronyms, is $9,200.
There are some lower priced domains in the Sedo auction worth keeping your eye on:
aaa.info $890
eWage.com $285
56l.com $150
5vm.com $150
ClimateThreat.com 60 EUR
