ParkingJudge: Rate and Review Domain Parking Companies
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009
Site gives domainers chance to rate domain name parking companies.
I’ve met one of my New Years Resolutions thanks to the launch of ParkingJudge, where you can rate and review domain parking companies. The site works just like RegistrarJudge.com, which now has nearly 200 reviews of domain name registrars.
Currently, there are very few quantified resources to figure out which domain parking services to use. There are forums, where people complain or pump up their favorite parking services, but you have to scroll through dozens of meaningless posts to get an idea if a parking company is good. Then there are some excellent review sites written by individuals, but they only give you one persons’ opinion.
With ParkingJudge, you’ll not only get to read qualitative comments, but also see quantified scores, like this:

Submitting reviews is easy:
1. Find the domain parking company and click for its review page
2. Enter your name, e-mail (won’t be published), and your web site (if you want a link to it)
3. Type your review
4. Click on the star ratings
5. Submit
It’s basically as easy as submitting a blog comment.
ParkingJudge is in beta, and I welcome your comments and feedback.

Great work Andrew. Keep making an impact.
Looks great, Andrew. Hopefully the industry refers to the site and listens to domainers. I’m sure you’ve already thought of it — but you should package the “Judge Application Template” you’ve built, and re-sell it. You should also consider incorporting what Yahoo has done for suggestions here: http://suggestions.yahoo.com/homepage/?prop=omg so reviewers can submit suggestions, then the Parking companies could register on your Judge site, and reply back to suggestions, and if they actually implement any of the suggestions, they can mark them as Closed. It would be a great two-way interaction between Domainers and Parking companies. Nice work, again
@ LittleDevil –
Thanks. I can’t take credit for the template, because it’s a WordPress template and package I purchased.
Andrew, you did a nice job with the site.
And, it was a excellent idea.
However, I am not going to comment about the ppc companies. My mother always said
“if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything.”
@ Unhappy – surely one of them is good for you?
*UNHAPPY* Yes, and if the PS’s aren’t performing, ever thought about putting content on your sites and getting SE traffic?
Andy, why is Domainsponsor.com left off your list of parking services? Also, ActiveAudience.com and Goldkey.com?
How does someone go about submitting new PS’s to your site?
Good idea, BTW. As usual. Dang, do you ever sleep?
Stephen,
They’re on there at the bottom of the page. I didn’t have the setting correct on the widget on the left side of the page…fixed it now. Thanks
Thanks for the info I have had some parked in different places and would like to know who is better.K
Super Idea Andrew.
I actually had a very similar idea almost 2 years ago now. I registered ppcvote.com with this intention. Never did anything more with it. I suppose I can stop renewing it now and feeling guilty about it.
