We have not had any negative experiences with GoDaddy. I believe much of the negativity comes from the competitors who charge more and don't have all the automation and functionality that GoDaddy offers.

A big chunk of that money is mine. Let me explain. For many years I have had over 2000 domains at Godaddy. Anytime you change your nameservers to custom nameservers and then change them back to godaddy's parked nameservers, Godaddy will steal you traffic for 3 days. You will not be able to fwd your traffic for 3 days. I know because it happens to me all the time. Not on a few of the domains , but all of them. I am waiting out the 3 day period now.

As you know in order to use Godaddy's fwding you have to have your domains on their parked servers. so I have to wait 3 days to fwd my domains. That is 3 days of parking rev that is being stolen.

It is also 3 days of stolen traffic info.

We all know that DNS updates almost instantly now.

I am unaware of any other RAR that does this. It is pure theft. It amounts to millions of dollars a year for Godaddy.

I think a class action lawsuit is in order. Any sharp lawyers out there? After all Register.com had to settle with guy who claimed they had no right ot put ads on his parked domain.

When I saw your headline:
"GoDaddy Donates $1.7 Million to Charity",
I was going to say Charity must be the new GoDaddy girl.

Since I don't know if humor is appreciated
or welcome here I won't say it. :-)

Happy New Year!
