Hi,

"Speaking of which, chillibeans.com is still with Frank. I guess he filed suit for it already?"

____

Good!!! Nice to hear Dave.

The term is as "Generic" as they come. No matter what the "complainant" has to say. IMHO.

Peace!
Dan
AKA "Danno" on Franks Blog...'

If Frank ever gets the 'fire' and 'time' to start it back up...which I think we all can agree was a great blog and lots of fun....with great posts and comments.

My "Seven Mile Rehab"...is not going so well...its been months and I am still going through "withdrawal symptoms"...LOL

BTW: nice site here at Domain Name Wire also. Great info...and is always one of the first out with 'new' domain news and storys.

Well done!

A smart move, as I would expect from Frank. You can learn alot from watching smart domainers like Frank.

Hmmmm ... when one owns their own registrar (or leases one with "full & complete" control), how can such an owner be forced to hand over one of their own domains as the result of a WIPO/ UDRP decision ... if they don't really want to?

"I wish he would open up for transfers and registrations…I’d be there quick."

I can't speak for Frank Schilling but I'm positive
Frank has NO interest in allowing others use his registrar.

His is the classic example of a "private registrar".
You will see more and more of those in the future.

Why would he want to allow others into his registrar?
He doesn't need your domain if you don't renew it.
He doesn't need the few pennies gross profit from registering and renewing domains for others.
He doesn't need the extra, trival work.
Nor, the need to hire more people to manage the domains and handle communications.

At this point, there is NO WAY a domain could be hi-jacked out of his registrar without his authorization.
Domains are totally locked down from transfers out.
The prevention of one hi-jacking pays for itself.

That is why you are seeing more domainers leasing or buying registrars for their personal use.
