The Domain Name World in Los Angeles

I’m off to Los Angeles this morning for several days of meetings with area domain name companies. Today I’m meeting with ICANN and Thought Convergence, and have several meetings set up over the next couple days.
Los Angeles is one of the “domain name centers” in the United States, with several of the largest domain name related companies in the area. The other big domain name center is southern Florida, where you’ll find Moniker, Parked.com, and several others. In Boston you’ll find Sedo and Name Media. I’d also count the Pacific Northwest: Snapnames in Oregon, DomainTools and Enom in Seattle, Dotster, and various companies in Vancouver.
I hope to make it to more of these domain centers over the coming year. For now, it’s off to Los Angeles.
