GoDaddy has been changing its price quite recently. They just raised the price for .COM domains and renewals. Fortunately, I have GoDaddy codes which have helped me continue to purchase domains and they’re non-expiring.

best3 – $7.49 .COM domains and renewals
best1 – 10% off any order (.net, .org., .me, hosting)
best2 – $5 off orders $30+

Wow, it looks like Go Daddy has made a about face, as of 09/10/08 the price for .net and .org TLDs has been decreased now to $10.99 + $0.20 ICANN fee for a total of $11.19 instead of $14.99 + $0.20 for a total of $15.19 a few days ago.

I own or manage more than 5 dozen domain name names with Godaddy, some twelve or more hosting plans with GoDaddy and I have just seen my accumulated annual costs climb some US 600.00.

They have also raised the hosting fees by some 15% AGAIN.

Maybe Bob Parsons should stop sponsoring NASCAR hotties and focus on the bottom line.

There is a persistent rumor that soon the digital real estate on the net is going to suffer the same fate as the Real Estate sector. It is all about how much it is worth, what the customer can afford and how much is charged beyond the customer’s financial reach.

It just goes to show that the race to the bottom pricing model is no longer viable.
GoDaddy has created a well known brand and their investors have now said its time to cash in by charging sensible prices.
