Auction features over 2,000 domain names.
Moniker’s second Internext Expo domain name auction, geared toward adult webmasters, pulled in close to $700,000 in sales during the live auction. The silent auction has started and ends Thursday. Over 2,000 domains are available for purchase in the silent auction.
The auction isn’t limited to adult domains. I picked up some steals in the last Internext silent auction, including ExhibitBooths.com and CarAdapters.com. Most of the buyers were looking for adult domains, but there were many quality business domains.
Here are some of the non-adult domains in the current auction along with their starting bids:
Window.com $1.06M
HospitalityLaw.com $8,830
RaceHorse.com $117,650
United-Kingdom.com $25,060
360.com $1.76M
Oal.com $60,000
Rdc.com $29,420
FootballStar.com $16,480
AirlineClub.com $2,360
Anyone who has previously registered for a Moniker silent auction may participate in the Internext silent auction for free by visiting silentauction.moniker.com. People who have not registered for previous Moniker auctions must pay a $299 absentee fee to participate if they did not register for the expo.
I can tell that word about Moniker’s auctions is starting to spread. I have a number of non-domainer friends who have heard about the auctions that asked me how they can submit domains to the auctions.
Moniker’s next live auction will be at the TRAFFIC conference in Florida October 9-13. The submission deadline for that auction has already passed.
Domain Roundtable will hold its first live auction next week at the Sheraton in downtown Seattle, Washington. Among the domains on the auction block are Invention.com, Rebates.com, a portfolio of domains including Villas.com, and Autobiography.com.
