ValuableNames.com shuts down membership site but offers database of valuable domain data.
In May 2006 I reviewed ValuableNames.com, an exclusive membership service for finding valuable domain names. ValuableNames has a large database of domain names with Overture scores and other search data, along with information about how the domains are currently being used. For example, you might find a domain with an Ovt+Ext of 150, but the domain is currently not resolving. That means it’s worth your time to contact the owner who may not be aware of its value and offer to buy it.
Unfortunately, ValuableNames is closing down. But the good news is the site is making its databases available for purchase. When I was a member of ValuableNames I wanted the ability to download the entire list, but instead had to enter search terms to find related domains.
ValuableNames has three lists available. The lists are priced such that only serious domainers will buy them, which is a good thing. They may only be used for private use and not resold. Consider that monthly membership at ValuableNames cost $1,000. Furthermore, ValuableNames is offering a significant discount to buyers that send their requests to a unique email address, [email protected].
List 1: .com domains with a US Overture score (with extension). This list has 380,577 rows and the first two rows are:
“myspace.com”,17037135
“google.com”,6531247
This list is $15,000, or $9,999 with the discount.
List 2: Non .com domains with a US Overture score (with extension). This list has 97,726 rows, first two rows are:
“comcast.net”,543362
“google.ca”,231740
The list price is $6,000, or $3,999 with the discount.
List 3: Domains with a non-US (i.e. local) Overture score (with extension). This list has 135,642 rows, first two rows are:
“orkut.com.br”,1133461
“google.de”,766478
The list price is $8,000, or $6,400 with the discount.
ValuableNames has historical data as well, and will provide a 12 month trend analysis on the lists for a 20% premium. ValuableNames tells me that it will stop selling the lists at the end of this month and the data will no longer be available.
It’s a shame to see this service shut down, but at least the data is being made available.
Clickmojo says
These were available every month, and updated for only $200 at Clickmojo.
$15,000 vs $200. You decide.
