Gin.com, HorseRacing.com Added to Moniker Auction

Moniker’s Casino Affiliate Convention 2007 silent domain name auction has added more domains with record-breaking potential.

As if Poker.com and Slots.com were not enough to give Moniker’s casino domain name auction the potential to be the biggest auction ever, the company announced ten more high value domains:

- Scores.com
- Gin.com
- HorseRacing.com
- DailyDouble.com
- eBet.com
- BestOdds.com
- Casinos.mobi
- Lucky7.com

Gin.com has a lot of potential given the recent sale of Vodka.com for $3M. However, it is unlikely that alcohol companies will be fast enough to get in on the action and to place bids online. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see this domain sell after the auction due to auction publicity.

Casinos.mobi has a good comparable sale for bidders. Sportsbook.mobi sold for $129,800 in January.

The auction could break the record for the biggest domain auction ever with the sale of one domain – Poker.com. To give you an idea of the value of this domain, a typo of poker.com – porker.com – sold for $155,000 in 2005.

Despite the number of high quality domains in the auction, there’s still a cloud overhead due to the uncertain future of online gaming in the U.S.

Half this list of 8 names have zero overture.

    Miniscule traffic with ‘record-breaking
    potential’ ?

Is Moniker telling us that a new era in
premium domain valuation has arrived ?

Gin.com I would think will be the biggest sale. You just have to look to vodka.com as a comparable. A brand like beefeater should buy this name. I just don’t get it.

I think the horse gambling names will suprise alot people, esp if you own any that deal with the .mobi or .com. Horseracing is legal in many states in the us, though poker online is not. Just my opinion.

If gin.com does sell I would think it should go for around 4 to 5 million. They can thank the buyers of vodka.com for that.

Gin.com the biggest sale dont make me laugh, would be interesting if you offered an explanation of you opinion. This will certainly be interesting but I would think poker.com will eclipse all others without a doubt it is huge money.

Poker wont sell they want to much.. I am talking about the ones that will sell.. half of the names will not sell because they are asking to much and with poker its a gamble, it is worth more than gin by far but will not sell this time around..
