I have bought one domain name on Sedo and enjoy that service - though I can't sell anything over at that house unless someone makes an offer. With Ebay's domain auction service I can sell something within one day if I choose and find a buyer. Ebay also has a huge audience. Also I can sell a large domain name portfolio on Ebay. Right now Sedo I think does not sell domain name portfolio's. On Ebay you can sell one domain or huge amount of them all at once. I also have bought one domain on Snap Names and like someone warned me - I was in an auction with myself over at Snap Names - the other bidder was my backorder at Godaddy.com! I had backordered the domain at Go Daddy. I got the domain for $60.00 the opening bid. I sold one domain last year on for a little over $2,000 and another for $750.00 both on Ebay.
