.Net domain sells for $29,000

With the risk of sounding a like a broken record, it was another great week for domain sales! Last week England.net sold for $29,000 on SnapNames. This means that someone let this incredible domain expire. Someday I’ll contact one of these people that lets a domain like this expire to see if they know how much money they just lost. But I also think that sometimes dropped domain auctions bring in higher prices than existing domains since there’s focused bidding activity. SnapNames sold 5 of the top 10 domains this week. You can see the complete list here.

The biggest reported sale of the week was Tunisia.com, which sold for $40,000 at Sedo. Perhaps the bargain of the week was Siblings.com, which sold for only €1,000.
