Pool.com to snag .EU domain names

Pool.com has just added a new feature for customers to order .EU domains. It will work much like Pool’s existing dropping domains service. You can order any .EU domain you wish, and then when .EU domains are become available for registration Pool will use its technology and registrar network to try to register the domain(s) for you. Fees start at €60, with an auction if more than one person requests the same domain.

For more information, go to Pool.com and click on “.EU Orders”.

Sedo sells over 1,000 domains in May

Sedo, one of the biggest and best domain name aftermarkets, announced that its sold 1,020 domains in May for a total of $1.7M. The average price of domains sold was $1,661.18. Of course, the median sale is better information…but Sedo doesn’t release that information.

Among Sedo’s big sales last month were Porker.com for $155,000, GLU.com for $75,000, and TextMessage.com for $35,000.

.Net domain sells for $29,000

With the risk of sounding a like a broken record, it was another great week for domain sales! Last week England.net sold for $29,000 on SnapNames. This means that someone let this incredible domain expire. Someday I’ll contact one of these people that lets a domain like this expire to see if they know how much money they just lost. But I also think that sometimes dropped domain auctions bring in higher prices than existing domains since there’s focused bidding activity. Snapnames sold 5 of the top 10 domains this week. You can see the complete list here.

The biggest reported sale of the week was Tunisia.com, which sold for $40,000 at Sedo. Perhaps the bargain of the week was Siblings.com, which sold for only €1,000.

TrafficClub domain parking service continues to impress

I’ve written about TrafficClub, the paid parking service from Moniker, in the past. Here’s an update on how it’s performing for me.

As of June 21, I’m running an excellent RPM (revenue per thousand views) of $44.50. This is up sharply from $10-$20 in previous months. A lot of this has to do with TrafficClub’s optimization process. Of my domains that have had 50 or more page views, the lowest is $2.33 RPM, and the best is $209.45! If you take these two outlier domains out I am earning a $18.58 RPM. That’s still good. Also, my average CPC is around $.30.

You can sign up for TrafficClub here.
