Yahoo sheds Overture brand

Yahoo has officially dropped the Overture brand name and rebranded it as Yahoo Search Marketing. Yahoo will soon be launching a Google Adsense-like system for syndicating ads across smaller web sites. My guess that this would happen in mid-April was wrong; the clues I found were actually pointing to the rebranding taking place in mid-April. Hopefully this is just one more step closer to Yahoo’s advertising syndication program!
